Description Highlights
SEAMASTER 813 - NAME - ‘ARISTOCRAFT’ Moored at Canal & River Trust’s - Bilsborrow Wharf PR3 0QD near Preston - Lancaster Canal
KEY FEATURES
The outstanding feature which makes this boat unique is the fact the cabins have been completely refurbished throughout in light oak FORMICA which is totally resistant and unaffected by condensation / damp conditions- the inherent and great problem with boats. Also the paint used in the cabins is anti -condensation by incorporating the latest glass bubble technology, while the decor has been improved by the fitting of venetian blinds.
The boat is covered by SAFETY CERTIFICATE which runs until April 2025 and in addition on the 13th May 2022 it was given a full OUT OF THE WATER SURVEY by John Crompton of Small Boat Surveys. His several page report covers all parts and every aspect together with several images and the conclusion states ‘ The Seamster 813 inland waterways motor cruiser called ‘Aristocraft’ was found to be structurally sound at the time of the survey. The boat was well equipped for inland water cruising and appeared to have been updated and maintained to professional standards. There are no items found that need attention before the vessel is launched and the value for Insurance Purposes £18500. Whilst the boat was out of the water the underside was treated with anti- foul paint supplied by INTERNATIONAL PAINTS.
In 2021 it was also be fitted with a large VETUS STRAINER FTR 330 water filter together with a new JABSCO 52040-2001 cooling pump. Since a new prop-shaft was fitted some years ago by PMB Mechanical Services of Chorley and paid for by Euromarine Insurance, the bilge of the boat has remained virtually dry.
This Seamaster 813 was originally owned by Cliff Fazakerley who was Chairman of the Ribble Link Trust. The Ribble Link connected the once isolated Lancaster canal to the national waterway network. The official opening ceremony took place on the 20th September 2002 and this boat led the flotilla of crafts through the new waterway; an illustration of the boat and the event appears page 22 in the publication ‘ The Complete Guide to the Lancaster Canal’.(2003 The Lancaster Canal Trust); a copy is retained with the documents for the boat.
