About this houseboat
The Tug is a 45ft Tug style Trad, built 2003 by Stephen Goldsbrough Boats, lovingly cared for by the current owners and offered for sale with a fully cruising inventory.
Fitted with a Vetus 33Hp engine there is plenty of power and the boat handles very well too. The interior is fitted with a combination of Oak panelling, T&G and full hardwood trims throughout. A classic combination providing quality and longevity.
The layout employs the use of the tug deck to house the bed, which if required, be drawn out from beneath the bow into the living area. A living area with captain’s chairs, dropleaf table, Bubble solid fuel range and corner TV cabinet. An open galley, fully fitted with cooker, fridge, sinks and granite worksurfaces. A spacious cross-over bathroom with a full-sized quadrant shower, pump-out WC, corner washbasin and storage. Last is a trad engine room; cleverly constructed and compact with relatively easy access to all the boat’s equipment and some additional storage.
Various items have been replaced over the years, including several works most recently by the current and rather conscientious owners; this includes shot-blasting and blacking of the hull with an epoxy product in 2018. (Many invoices are available).
Overall, The Tug is a statement of a boat… traditional at first glance with all the convenience of a modern engine, electrical system, and heating.
